Source, negotiate, review, communicate…we are looking for an experienced Buyer with passion and skill for developing a comprehensive and inspiring merchandise range within our innovative and growing Technology portfolio that will excite our customers!

Driving the merchandise strategy and buying process for a range of Tech Hardware and Accessories, this dynamic commercial opportunity is integral in sourcing, working closely with global brands, developing and ranging merchandise reflecting our three pillars of Low Prices, Widest Range and Great Service.

In addition to the development and implementation of business plans, product ranges, promotional activity, financial and inventory management targets, this key role will coach, develop and mentor a Buyers Assistant.

About you

As an experienced retail buyer, you enjoy building and establishing strong relationships across business functions and all key stakeholders. Your direct sourcing and product lifecycle management experience will enable you to interpret and act on market trends.

Ability to influence and negotiate and present, sees you striking formidable commercial rapport and effectively communicating with all key stakeholders toward achieving positive outcomes. Your innovative and customer centric mindset is well balanced with commercial acumen and analytical capability with a focus on continuous improvement.

Key attributes:

•    Strong communicator and negotiator who can influence and present

•    Local sourcing experience with a sound tech knowledge and passion for tech trends

•    Well developed financial/commercial acumen with an established understanding of merchandise financial KPI’s (Sales, Net income, stockturns, GMROI/GMROS).

•    Balance of entrepreneurial flair and analytical & planning capability 

•   Team player who is self-motivated and success-oriented                                                   

•   Tertiary study in Business, Commerce or Engineering would be an advantage
