About the role

In this role we are looking for an individual that is passionate about sharing the value of learning. You will align with key business stakeholders to understand where the business is successful and how the L&D function can make it even more successful. You will be comfortable to challenge and support the evolution of our learning culture. You will possess a strategic, consultative and proactive skillset, and not be afraid to meet us at our point of need, roll up your sleeves and deliver outcomes that support business objectives.  Effective stakeholder management will be critical as we continue to evolve our learning culture, and support the organisation with technology led and enabled learning experiences across the 4 E’s - Education, Experience, Exposure, and Environment. Success in this role, will see the delivery of a progressive and future ready learning culture across Officeworks.


This role has a national scope and is responsible for:

  • Leadership of the Learning and Development team
  • Embedding learning culture
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to foster and support a mobile, on demand learning culture
  • Influencing, persuading and negotiating learning outcomes with Leaders across the business to assemble ideas, issues and observations into learning solutions that grow the capability of the workforce
  • Preparing team members and leaders for future responsibilities and enabling team members to take self-directed learning pathways across the 4E’s
  • Coaching and supporting managers and team members across the business
  • Implementation of our new Learning Management System
  • Evaluating return on investment of learning impact across organisational and performance outcomes.
  • Researching emerging learning solutions and best practices and applying these to foster a culture of development

Our ideal candidate will possess experience in the Retail Industry, and have experience in a Learning and Development Leadership position.
