About the role

The key role of Margin & Pricing Analyst will help drive revenue and profitability in our growing Business channel whilst meeting our commitment to provide ‘low prices’. With a focus on analysis of the existing pricing strategy, this exciting opportunity will leverage your retail and analytical skills to optimise and review pricing to the B2B market, working closely on pricing for tenders and new business acquisition opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Timely review and submission of pricing of tenders, all bids and government contracts
  • Develop, manage and monitor profit-making initiatives
  • Develop pricing recommendations
  • Review and maintain existing pricing models and contracts
  • Become a product and pricing subject matter expert
  • Assist in developing team reports, processes and work to improve data integrity through continuous improvement
  • Provide accurate and insightful reporting, profit and margin analysis
  • Maintain customer profitability and retention
  • Drive cross functional stakeholder relationships and feedback

About you

To be successful in this role you will ideally have proven experience in analysing and interpreting data to improve business performance, with a strong focus on revenue and profitability. In addition to your advanced Excel skills, technical knowledge of systems including SAP CRM, BW Analyser and product data systems, you have an analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills and commercial aptitude. Relevant tertiary or equivalent business qualifications will be looked upon favourably.    

Outstanding interpersonal, stakeholder management and communication skills will enable you to effectively engage and influence a range of stakeholders.  You will be able to take the ‘big picture’ view with demonstrable internal consultancy and influencing skills, while possessing a keen eye for the detail.
