About the role

We have a great opportunity for someone with store operations experience who is keen to develop their procurement skills.  We’re flexible on the location of this role as the role will be 3 days per week for 12 months.

You will report to our National Procurement Manager this is a role which will focus on the procurement of services for our store operations team. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading execution of tenders and supplier negotiations to final contract execution
  • Reviewing procurement contracts, developing and implementing procurement strategies to reduce spend and support the business with their contracting activities
  • Assisting internal stakeholders with the development of scopes and definition of contractual KPIs and SLAs
  • Drafting contracts and recommendation papers

About you

You will have an understanding of store operations that will assist you in performing the procurement duties.  You will be a strong communicator and have the ability to influence stakeholders.

  • A degree in procurement/business/commerce
  • Ability to influence and engage people at all levels
  • Results orientated approach to improving business performance and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills
  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Commercial acumen and reasonable legal knowledge of procurement goods and services contracts
