About the role

Our Product Content team produce inspiring and descriptive product content for all channels and mediums including websites, mobile, apps, catalogues, eDM, kiosks and in-store signage. Creating clear and engaging product content means our customers are inspired to make positive purchasing decisions and find solutions for their needs.

This exciting opportunity sits within our talented Merchandise Support team. Reporting to the Product Content Manager this role would be ideal for a recent Marketing/PR/Communications graduate looking to further establish their industry experience.

In addition to producing inspiring product content, the Product Content Writer’s responsibilities include:

  • Editing and proof-reading product content with a customer-centric focus
  • Ensuring that product content is optimised for 'Search Engine Optimisation' (SEO)
  • Ensuring the overall tone of product content is consistent and positively reflects the Officeworks brand
  • Ensuring content is compliant with governing laws and rules regarding product content
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver consistent, high quality product content
  • As required, working with the Product Content team to source, research and gather product content related materials, including specifications and images
  • As required, producing documents or communications to support the wider business
About you

Our Product Content team are vibrant, collaborative, and open communicators, motivated and innovative in their approach.

Our successful candidate will be a self-starter who demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills and enjoys working in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Strong planning and organisational skills as well as the ability to deliver to deadlines will be essential.

Key to success will be a sound knowledge of technical writing and basic coding (html and json). A knowledge of SEO principles and competency using Adobe suite (Photoshop and Premiere) will ensure your ability to deliver rich content for an amazing customer experience.
