About the role

The HR Project Manager is an experienced professional who will support the Officeworks People team to define and deliver key milestones within our strategic plan. This exciting newly created role, reporting into the Head of People Partnering & Experience, will take the lead in a number of HR and People related projects The role requires excellent communication skills to develop strong relationships across a large, complex environment and a background in successfully leading cross functional projects at a senior level.  Responsibilities:

  • Facilitation, coordination and planning of cross functional projects
  • Lead multiple programs of work, manages their alignment to the Officeworks business and people strategy and keeps to milestone schedules. 
  • Collaborates and engages with senior stakeholders, project teams and external vendors to plan out initiatives for delivery, including development of investment requests. 
  • Managing project governance; including leading Steering Committee updates, schedule, budget, risks, issues, scope and resourcing.
  • Supports across the People & Safety teams to track overarching project milestones and identify interdependencies 
  • Identifies potential risks which may impact program delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary
  • Completing post implementation revies with project teams
  • Part of the People Leadership team at Officeworks 

About you

To be successful in this position you will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional with more than five years’ experience of working in Project Management capacity, ideally with a HR background.

  • Excellent interpersonal relationships with ability to influence and engage with a broad range of people
  • Extensive experience in project management methodologies tools and processes across the project lifecycle
  •  Outstanding critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and experienced with managing external vendors
  • Demonstrates a high commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Is a natural leader with strong commercial thinking ability
  • Practicing Project Manager (CPPM), PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent highly desirable
