About the role

 

•    Opportunity to transition from consultancy to industry to help Officeworks achieve its ambitious growth plans

 

Officeworks is currently working through the delivery of an ambitious and customer-centric growth strategy. We are making bigger things happen and excited as we move forward!

 

Our Strategy team is a dynamic small team with a new opportunity for a Strategy Development Manager who can champion Operational Excellence. As a strategic thought leader, this role will engage and partner across the business to develop, iterate and communicate the Officeworks Operational Excellence strategy with an initial focus on the supply chain.

 

Development of the Operations Excellence strategy will rely on effective cross-functional engagement with a variety of business leaders, including Operations, Supply chain, Merchandise, Technology, Corporate Strategy, and Customer Experience.

 

With the initial focus on Supply Chain, this pivotal new role will develop and facilitate strategy ideation, formulation, and development workshops at a corporate level. 

 

Key activities include:

•    Support the development and refinement of the Officeworks Operational Excellence strategy

•    Support decision making through leveraging models, analyses and research to support strategic decisions impacting operations

•    Develop options and recommendations to increase capacity, improve productivity, and reduce costs across supply chain, inventory planning, store network and support office

•    Create collateral to communicate of the Operational Excellence strategy for relevant internal audiences (e.g. leadership team including direct reports, broader leadership group, whole of business, board) 

 

About you

Tertiary qualified, and ideally with further management (MBA) qualifications, you will have spent 5+ years within a management consultancy or corporate strategy environment with solid experience in modelling and re-engineering.

 

An exceptional problem solver, you can take your stakeholders on a journey to achieve their strategic vision and plans. You enjoy cross-functional engagement to work solutions and drive meaningful, customer centric outcomes.

 

An exceptional communicator, your style is adaptable to all levels within an organisation with ability to influence and inspire.
