About the role

We're growing, which makes this an exciting time to join Officeworks. We are looking to double the size of our business by 2025! 

We have multiple permanent opportunities for experienced UX Designer’s to join our Customer Experience team. We are seeking designers who are passionate, creative and curious with a deep understanding of user-centred design. You will advocate for the needs and wants of our internal and external customers, ensuring you’re constantly keeping up with changes in journeys, behaviours, and feedback to drive your ideas and concepts. We are seeking self-starters who can own projects end-to-end, translating concepts into user flows, prototypes, wireframes and digital designs. You would be joining a very dedicated and driven team who thrive on fulfilling customer needs through elegant and sophisticated solutions. With our website as our biggest revenue raising store our UX Designers are crucial to ensuring an excpetional user experience. 

About you

Our ideal candidate demonstrates a tertiary qualification in Design or Similar with 5+ years industry experience, ideally within the retail sector. You demonstrate a solid understanding of UCD principles and have extensive experience running and facilitating workshops.

You will be passionate and have a detailed understanding of the Ecommerce space and seek to challenge the status quo and look for opportunities to constantly optimise and improve processes. Naturally, you will be an exceptional communicator with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, additionally we are also seeking:

  • A team player, someone who thrives in a fast-paced ever-changing landscape
  • Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback in order to ensure optimal outcomes are achieved
  • Genuine, with an interest in psychology, behavioural economics, emerging technology such as AI and Machine learning
  • Wanting to work closely with a development team, but also loves to work autonomously and proactively…you thrive on getting things done with a high attention to detail
  • Familiar with design tools such as: XD, Askable, Optimal workshop, Hotjar and Adobe Analytics will be a bonus!
