About the role

This unique opportunity is one of the most exciting roles going on in our eCommerce team! We are looking for an eCommerce Specialist. You will play a key strategic role in actively developing relationships across eCommerce, Merchandise, Product Content, Digital Marketing, Digital Analytics, and CX to increase our online sales revenue. Working closely with the Digital Engagement & Personalisation team, the role will develop approaches to key campaigns and product launches to ensure the successful onsite execution for customers, evaluating seasonal and campaign activity and sales performance to inform content and onsite activity plans

 

The role is pivotal to representing the voice of the online customer in the range review process that drives category growth and requires a focus on customer data and insights to ensure an understanding of our customers is fed back into the business operations. These insights will be used to proactively identify opportunities for new sales initiatives, product placements, retailing flows, content creation, and A/B and multi-variate tests. As an eCommerce Specialist, you are responsible for the management and optimisation of key features including Website Search, Recommendations and Ratings & Reviews to drive conversion and AOV. The role will also be responsible for the day-to-day management, mentoring, and development of an eCommerce Merchandising Coordinator.

About you

You have exposure to eCommerce and / or digital marketing and have a strong commercial acumen. You will also bring the following to the role, and the wider team:

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results within a complex business environment with varying stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to articulate and influence key decision-makers
  • Understanding of web-based tools and experience using content management systems
  • Experience with website maintenance projects and/or managed online range/content development
  • Proven understanding of how to promote and merchandise effectively through digital channels and be well versed with emerging technologies and platforms
  • Customer focused with a strong track record of understanding and analysing customer needs, behaviours and insights
