We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and people centric leader to join our Finance team as an Accounts Payable Team Leader.
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable & Payable Manager, you and your team will be responsible for all payments across Officeworks. You will look after supplier payments, goods not for resale, stock purchases and investigations, international payments, cash flow forecasts, expense reimbursements and the entire end to end payments process.
In this pivotal finance role, you’ll bring together a team of four across different locations building relationships with suppliers and stakeholders alike, supporting smooth and efficient financial processes.
You are an inquisitive people leader, who thrives on finding out the differences in your people to coach, develop, mentor and grow the capability of your team members driving towards key deliverables and business objectives. As our Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will:
• Lead the Accounts Payable team to ensure business outcomes are achieved and that the Officeworks values become part of all team members daily business as usual principles
• Ensure that all payments (daily, weekly, international, and monthly) runs are carried out on time
• Provide daily cashflow forecast to Wesfarmers banking team, or as requested
• Provide a high level of customer service to both internal & external stakeholders
• Drive timely, high-quality vendor reconciliations that meet or exceed SLA expectations, ensuring accuracy and accountability at every step
• Run payment times reporting
• Develop and build relationships with our suppliers ensuring all queries and issues relating to invoives are resolved in a timely manner
About you
You will be an accounts payable and SAP expert. You have developed strong people leadership skills with a key focus on driving performance and creating a positive and engaging team environment. You thrive on continuous improvement opportunities and have worked similar and Accounts Payable Team Leader role with a background in retail a bonus. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:
• Strong experience in Accounts payable (3+ years) ideally from a retail or FMCG environment
• Experience using SAP is essential Zeno (Expense Management System) desirable
• Demonstrated people leadership experience
• Be solutions driven, decisive, motivated and a self-starter with the ability to multitask.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills (internal and external)
• Able to work in and adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment
• Strong attention to detail with strong analytical, planning and communication skills
