About the role

Our Digital team is searching for an Associate Engineer to join on a permanent basis. With our website as our biggest revenue driving store, this is an amazing opportunity to work with an experienced, knowledgeable team on one of Australia’s leading retail web sites. If you're a Full-Stack developer looking for a new challenge this is your opportunity to use the latest technologies on a high-profile application in a “tech-friendly”, hands-on environment.  

This role will see you design, develop, improve and operate micro-services (in Node), micro-frontends (in React / Redux) across a wide range of projects and existing systems with an automated CI/CD pipeline. You will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the DevOps culture and work with a large team, with skilled professionals who will mentor and support your individual career progression and growth.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have: 

• 2+ years’ demonstrated experience in software engineering
• Strong Node.js and React experience
• Experience working with Web Pages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Strong attention to detail and advanced technical skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills 

 
Experience in the following would be valued: 

• AWS architecture knowledge, including Docker, ECS, S3, SQS, Redis, Lambda, etc. 
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and production support tools, including SumoLogic, Dynatrace and DataDog
• Agile development experience (including Scrum/Kanban)
• Experience working cross functionally at senior levels
