About the role

Our business team is engaging, fast-paced and constantly evolving and we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our VIC team working with our South-east customer community or our business customers within Melbourne’s western suburbs.

 

You will support your community of customers on the road, meeting new clients your day will be filled by insightful conversations, learning about who they are, how Officeworks can support their business and building your portfolio through new client acquisitions.  You will have the drive for identifying, acquiring, and onboarding new medium and large sized business customers and building long term, profitable and mutually beneficial relationships.

 

The role is instrumental in the continuing growth of the Officeworks B2B offer and it is and great time to join our Business team as they continue to grow. 


As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Build relationships and connections with multiple levels of stakeholders including C-suite level leaders, presenting tailored customer solutions that enhances their businesses and builds a mutual beneficial partnership
  • Seek new business account opportunities and leads within a portfolio of medium to large customers in your designated community
  • Identification of growth opportunities and the execution of those opportunities
  • Set account plans within the individual portfolio though a high level of account planning, base coverage and insightful customer conversations
  • Work with the wider team of Business Specialists, building connections through our store networks, to generate lead and build your personal brand within the community of customers  

About you

 

You are self-motivated, client centric, thrive on building new client relationships and- have a hunger for achieving targets/budgets and finding the best solutions for our customers.  You will have a minimum of 2 years demonstrated in field Sales and/or Business Development experience in a B2B environment with infield experience.  In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:

 

  • Ability to build long-term, profitable and sustainable relationships with business customers
  • A strong understanding of identifying and meeting customer needs, whilst maximising customer satisfaction
  • In field sales experience, identifying and acquiring new business opportunities and provide exceptional customer experiences
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, including pipeline management with the ability to initiate new ideas/concepts
  • Strong commercial acumen with an analytical and inquisitive mind working with multiple levels of stakeholders including C-suite level leaders
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Experience using Salesforce
