At Officeworks, we're passionate about helping make bigger things happen. We're looking for a commercially savvy and customer-obsessed Category Manager to lead the strategy, performance and growth in the Art and Craft portfolio.

This is an opportunity to own the end-to-end category strategy, influence business-wide decisions, build strong supplier partnerships, and deliver an exceptional every-channel customer experience.

What you'll be doing

You'll lead the development and execution of category strategies that drive sales, profitability and customer value while bringing our promise of Low Prices, Widest Range and Best Experience to life.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing category plans that deliver sales, margin and EBIT targets.
• Identifying growth opportunities through customer insights, data and market trends.
• Driving innovation through new products, services and private label opportunities.
• Leading range reviews, pricing strategies and promotional plans.
• Building strong supplier partnerships and negotiating commercially beneficial outcomes.
• Collaborating across Marketing, Digital, Supply Chain and Store Operations to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• Coaching and developing a high-performing Category team.

About you

You're an experienced merchandising or category professional who combines commercial thinking with a customer-first mindset.

You'll bring:

• Significant experience in Category Management, Buying or Merchandise roles within a large retail environment.
• A proven track record of delivering category growth and commercial outcomes.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation capabilities.
• A passion for market trends, innovation and creating compelling customer offers.
• Leadership experience with the ability to develop and inspire teams.
