About the role
- Provide commercial analysis and insights that help the Supply Chain team drive improved financial outcomes.
- Deliver recurring and ad‑hoc reporting, ensuring insights are clear, actionable, and aligned to business needs.
- Partner with Supply Chain leaders to identify financial risks and opportunities, and co‑create action plans to address or maximise them
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, ensuring all assumptions are robust and well‑supported.
- Support investment decisions by developing commercial assumptions and ensuring approved outcomes are reflected in forward financial plans
- Manage support office cost forecasts and ensure people‑related costs are accurately allocated
- Work cross‑functionally with Finance, Supply Chain leadership and Officeworks stakeholders to deliver meaningful, high‑quality commercial support.
About you
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial finance roles
- Experience in retail industry is highly desirable but not essential
- Experience supporting supply chain in a finance capacity is essential
- CA/CPA qualification, highly desirable
- Exceptional modelling and systems capability, with the ability to convert complex datasets into clear insights.
- Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and form sound hypotheses.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to distil complex information into concise recommendations.
- High attention to detail, strong planning and organisational capability, and the ability to manage deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, challenge the status quo, and identify opportunities for process or commercial improvement.
- Confidence in engaging with diverse stakeholders and influencing outcomes.
- Experience with Power BI/Tableau or SAP BW (advantageous).
