About the role
Shape and lead a transformative supply chain agenda
We’re on the lookout for a visionary General Manager Supply Chain to spearhead the transformation of our end-to-end retail supply chain. This is more than a leadership role it’s an opportunity to shape the future of how we operate, drive innovation, elevate performance and embed a truly high-performing culture across our network.
You’ll be at the forefront of modernising our supply chain capabilities, reimagining the customer experience, and positioning the business for long-term, sustainable growth in an ever-evolving retail landscape. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and based in our Chadstone Support Office, you will lead and inspire leaders to build and sustain a high-performing team culture, driving strong engagement, accountability, and exceptional business outcomes.
And the timing couldn’t be more exciting.
This year marks a major milestone as we launch our largest Supply Chain site in Redbank, Queensland, a significant investment in scale, technology, and innovation. This is a role where you can make a big impact, bringing a large-scale, state-of-the-art operation to life and shaping the future of our network.
As our General Manager Supply Chain, you will:
- Lead Supply Chain Transformation: Drive strategic initiatives to modernise supply chain operations, leveraging technology, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Champion Innovation: Identify and implement innovative solutions across planning, logistics, distribution, and inventory management to improve efficiency and agility.
- Build a High-Performance Culture: Lead, Develop and inspire high-performing teams, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and a results-driven mindset.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Collaborate closely with the Officeworks Executive Leadership team, commercial stakeholders, and external partners to ensure supply chain strategy is aligned with overall business priorities.
- End-to-End Operations Management: Oversee demand planning, warehousing, transport, and distribution to ensure seamless delivery and strong service outcomes.
- Performance & Continuous Improvement: Establish clear KPIs and operational metrics, driving cost optimisation, service excellence, and resilience across the network.
About you
You are an accomplished, commercially minded senior supply chain leader with a strong track record in shaping strategy and delivering end-to-end operational excellence across complex environments. You excel in leveraging data, influencing stakeholders, and leading high-performing teams to achieve cost, service, and efficiency goals. A forward-thinking and resilient change leader, you drive innovation, optimisation, and sustainable business outcomes. In addition, you will have:
- Proven senior leadership experience in retail supply chain, ideally within complex, high-volume environments
- Demonstrated experience and passion for building and leading high performing large teams
- Strong track record of leading transformation and driving innovation initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders at executive level
- Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, including logistics, inventory, and planning
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into execution
- Commercially astute with a focus on delivering customer-centric outcomes
