About the role

As the IT Manager for Supply Chain at Officeworks, you will serve as the crucial link between our Supply Chain organization and technology functions. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the delivery of technology solutions necessary for the successful execution of our Supply Chain & Procurement strategy. You will advise the business on technical aspects, manage vendor relationships, and ensure alignment between technology requirements and proposed solutions. Additionally, you will provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and their applications for Officeworks. You will also manage the team responsible for ownership, support, and lifecycle management of supply chain systems, providing guidance and thought leadership within this space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, deployment, and support of all Supply Chain applications.
  • Provide guidance and capability to integrate core business data.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with other IT teams and departments to deliver strategic objectives.
  • Develop business cases for new initiatives in partnership with department sponsors.
  • Run selection processes for IT applications with stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage vendors effectively and ensure compliance with IT security and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain a 3-year forward plan for system architecture.
  • Oversee project financials and ensure benefits realization.
  • Transition initiatives from project to business as usual (BAU) status.
  • Track project benefits realization.

About you

A successful applicant will posses the following:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications, ideally at postgraduate level.
  • At least 6 years of Supply Chain IT experience.
  • Minimum 4 years in IT leadership roles.
  • At least 6 years of project-based experience.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Budget and project management experience.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • High integrity, ability to work well in a team, and perform under limited supervision.
  • Initiative, innovation, and passion for IT solutions.
  • Flexibility for travel and handling stressful situations.
  • Attention to detail and interest in emerging technologies.
