We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Inclusion & Belonging Lead to bring our Inclusion & Belonging Strategy to life and lead the continued evolution of our First Nations employment and engagement initiatives.

 

In this role, you’ll drive enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen inclusion, accessibility, belonging and cultural capability across Officeworks. A key focus will be leading our Deadly Stores program and partnering with leaders to improve First Nations attraction, retention and team member experience.

 

Working across People, Retail Operations, Property, Supply Chain, Customer & Online, Commercial, Communications and Community teams, you’ll influence strategic priorities, deliver measurable outcomes and help create a workplace where everyone can thrive.

 

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategy and execution, influencing across a large organisation and creating meaningful impact for team members, customers and communities.

 

As an Inclusion & Belonging Lead, you will:

  • Deliver the Officeworks Inclusion & Belonging Strategy across our Culture, Careers & Capability, and Customers & Community pillars
  • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives across First Nations, Gender Equality, Disability & Neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+ inclusion and Cultural Diversity
  • Drive the ongoing success of the Deadly Stores program and broader First Nations employment initiatives
  • Lead inclusion campaigns, communications, events and capability initiatives that build awareness, belonging and cultural capability
  • Partner with leaders and stakeholders to strengthen inclusive and culturally safe practices
  • Manage reporting, governance and insights to measure impact and support continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with community organisations, industry partners and external stakeholders

 

This role is based in our Chadstone support officing, offering a hybrid working arrangement working 3 days in the office with the remainder of your week from home.

About you

 

You’re a relationship-builder who is passionate about creating inclusive workplaces and positive outcomes for team members, customers and communities. You combine strategic thinking with strong execution and can influence stakeholders at all levels to deliver meaningful outcomes.  You’ll be comfortable working with senior leaders, community partners and cross-functional teams, while also rolling up your sleeves to turn strategy into action through programs, campaigns, events and capability initiatives that create meaningful outcomes.  In addition, you will have:

 

  • Experience leading or delivering inclusion, belonging, community, employment or engagement initiatives within a complex organisation
  • Demonstrated experience supporting First Nations employment, engagement, reconciliation, community partnerships or culturally safe workplace initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing enterprise-wide programs or projects from concept to delivery
  • Strong communication, planning and organisational skills, with a high attention to detail
  • A passion for using data and insights to measure impact, identify opportunities and inform decision-making
  • The ability to work autonomously while building trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
