About the role
12 month fixed-term role based at Chadstone, Victoria
Leverage your knowledge of Floor Space Planning and exposure to Blue Yonder software
Hybrid flexible ways of working
Using our new purpose-built, state-of-the-art Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) retail planning tool, Officeworks is working on some exciting merchandise initiatives to help Australians make bigger things happen. A fixed-term opportunity is now available for a Macro Space Planner to join our innovative Space and Range team.
Reporting to the Macro Space Manager, this role will focus on updating floorplans in-line with merchandising principles, while over-laying space optimisation recommendations utilising purpose-built data analytics. We are seeking a creative problem solver who also understands the financial impact this role has on the business and is able to clearly articulate their decisions to key stakeholders.
- Create and maintain data driven, customer lead floorplans
- Conduct reporting, particularly in Excel
- Develop strong working relationships and support the buying group and key business stakeholders
- Responsible for implementing space planning principles and updating these when required
- Work closely with the Micro Space team
- Supply relevant information and reporting to key stake holders
- Improve return on space across new stores and refurbishment program
- Provide clear direction for stores to ensure planograms are implemented correctly and effectively
- Contribute to ongoing innovation and improvement in Space Planning function within the business
About you
Your experience with floor-planning and/or planogramming principles coupled with your ability to undertake analysis with a focus on ensuring we are optimising return on space, will stand you in good stead for this role.
- Min. 1-2 years experience within the Retail sector, in a similar role
- Tertiary qualified in business, commerce or related field advantageous
- Space planning system experience and solid competence with Excel
- Good planning, organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail
- Commercially minded to drive sales through effective use of floor space
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Proven negotiation and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment
