About the role
Marketing Technology is a critical function within our Digital Marketing team, enabling CRM and personalisation activity across the business. The team ensures our marketing platforms are fit for purpose, data is seamlessly integrated, and consent and governance practices are robust and compliant. Through this, Marketing Technology plays a key role in optimising customer experiences across channels and driving operational excellence across our marketing ecosystem.
Reporting to our Marketing Technology & Audience Manager, the MarTech Specialist is responsible for BAU operations and the delivery of small to medium enhancement initiatives. This includes enabling CRM platforms, maintaining reliable data flows between systems, and ensuring strong consent and data governance practices are in place.
You will partner with Marketing Technology agencies and internal teams including Digital Marketing, CRM, Data Analytics, eCommerce, Customer Experience and IT to deliver commercial outcomes and support scalable, compliant marketing operations.
As a MarTech Specialist, you will:
- Partner with the MarTech & Audience Manager and agencies to optimise marketing platforms, audiences and reporting
- Lead BAU operations and deliver small to medium MarTech and data enhancements, including automation updates, integrations, audience development and consent governance
- Translate business requirements into effective MarTech solutions aligned to strategy.
- Collaborate with Marketing, CRM, Data and Analytics teams to identify future capability needs
- Manage platform issues, upgrades and enhancements end‑to‑end with IT, CX, Security and external agencies
- Act as a subject matter expert across MarTech, CRM, data and audience initiatives
- Maintain governance, WIPs and JIRA boards, and participate in key marketing and agency forums
This role is a full time 6month fixed term contract, based at our Chadstone office, with onsite parking and hybrid working.
About you
You will have a solid understanding of how marketing platforms integrate and interact, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions. Strong collaboration is essential, working closely with stakeholders to take initiatives from brief through to successful execution. In addition, you will have:
- 5 years working within martech, CRM or automation related roles with experience in Retail preferred
- Demonstrated experience working in-house in a similar role for a retail business and/or experience working in or with a digital/social media agency
- 3 to 4+ years of hands-on technical experience with Adobe Campaign Classic versions 7 and 8
- You’re a creative thinker, with the ability to think on your feet
- Strong and proven understanding of MarTech, technology and databases
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise against deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
- Ability to interpret past data and insights to form new activity
