The National Sales Manager for Secondary Education plays a pivotal leadership role in defining and delivering the future strategy for Officeworks Education.

This role is accountable for the execution and delivery of Secondary & Combined Schools revenue and margin objectives in line with the Officeworks Corporate Plan, including ownership and delivery of the Box of Books (BoB) acquisition.  You will lead a high-performing national sales team, working collaboratively with cross-functional partners to unlock growth, enhance customer value, and expand Officeworks’ footprint across the education sector.

 

Our National Sales Manager Secondary Education, you will:  

 

  • Build, empower and lead your team in acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones, playing a pivotal role in driving school support and achieving sales goals. 
  • Develop and maintain a strong external presence, managing key relationships with senior government officials and education sector stakeholders, while actively participating in networking events and taking on speaking roles at industry functions. 
  • Foster a high-performance culture within your Sales Team and across departments, inspiring and motivating team members to consistently exceed sales and margin targets year-over-year. 
  • Seamlessly integrate into the organization, driving team culture, aligning behaviours, optimizing processes, and leveraging systems to consistently meet sales targets. Once integration is complete, you'll take charge of sustaining momentum, ensuring continuous sales growth and hitting ambitious targets. 

 

At Officeworks, we embrace flexibility, working in a hybrid working environment, this role can be based in North Rocks NSW or our Chadstone Support Office VIC.

About you

 

You are an experience Sales leader with a proven track record in B2B Education sales.  You’re passionate about developing your people, creating a supportive, high performing and vibrant team culture where our people can thrive. Watching your team grow, exceed their goals, and reach their full potential is what truly drives you as a leader. In addition, you will have:  

 

  • 10+ years of proven success in driving B2B Sales and Business Development strategies 
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, fostering collaboration and growth across diverse teams 
  • Exceptional stakeholder management expertise, connecting with both internal and external partners 
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a talent for educating and influencing customers to make informed decisions 
  • A proactive, solution-driven mindset, constantly seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation 
  • Sharp commercial acumen, always thinking strategically to drive value and achieve business goals
