About the role

At Officeworks, our technology teams play a critical role in delivering solutions that support our customers, team members, and business. We're seeking an experienced IT Project Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract to join our team and lead the successful delivery of key technology initiatives across the organisation.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned project professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, and has a proven track record delivering complex IT projects from concept through to completion.

 

As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and delivery partners to drive successful outcomes and deliver measurable value.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the planning and delivery of IT projects across applications, infrastructure, and technology platforms.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Manage project governance, reporting, change control, and stakeholder communications.
  • Monitor project performance, financials, and delivery outcomes.
  • Drive project close-out activities, including lessons learned and benefits reviews.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across project delivery and portfolio management practices.

About you

You are a highly organised and results-driven project leader with strong stakeholder management skills and a passion for delivering quality outcomes.

 

You'll bring:

  • 10+ years' experience in IT Project Management within retail, technology, finance, or similarly complex environments.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale technology projects end-to-end.
  • Strong experience managing project budgets, resources, risks, and governance processes.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working with implementation partners and external vendors.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, IT, or a related discipline.
  • PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile, or related project management certifications will be highly regarded.
