About the role
Reporting to the National Health & Wellbeing Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and customer-focused Regional Injury Management Advisor to join our team.
In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening Officeworks' safety and wellbeing culture by providing expert injury management and return-to-work support across our stores and Distribution Centres throughout Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia. You will partner with leaders, team members, healthcare providers, and claims management teams to deliver positive recovery outcomes for both work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses.
As a trusted advisor, you will support the development and implementation of return-to-work strategies, ensuring injured team members receive the guidance and support needed to safely and sustainably return to work. You will facilitate meaningful stakeholder engagement, attend case conferences, participate in multidisciplinary reviews, and provide coaching and expert advice to leaders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist injury management and return-to-work advice across multiple sites.
- Develop and implement tailored return-to-work plans that support recovery and business needs.
- Partner with injured team members, treating practitioners, site leaders, and claims managers to achieve positive outcomes.
- Proven experience managing both compensable and non-compensable medical conditions, supporting employees through recovery and sustainable return-to-work outcomes
- Attend case conferences and multidisciplinary reviews to support rehabilitation and recovery planning.
- Coach and support leaders to effectively manage injury management and return-to-work processes.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of national injury management practices and initiatives.
About you
You are an experienced injury management professional who is passionate about supporting people through recovery and helping create safer, healthier workplaces. A confident self-starter, you build strong relationships with ease and are confident influencing and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A minimum of five years' experience in Injury Management, Rehabilitation, Workplace Health, or Workers Compensation.
- A current Return to Work Coordinator certification (preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of injury management, rehabilitation, and return-to-work practices.
- Demonstrated experience managing cases across multiple locations and stakeholder groups.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within a self-insured organisation will be highly regarded.
