About the role

With the recent acquisition of Box of Books, one of Australia’s leading digital education companies, Officeworks is creating a market leading proposition for the Education sector. Expanding upon its existing service offering to now include a world class digital education platform for secondary schools that combines access to digital textbooks and other learning content as well as the online sales of physical textbooks, Officeworks is primed to revolutionise the sector

 

Supporting our VIC/TAS new and existing education customers, with a key focus on our Box of Books (BoB) offer, our School Relationship Specialist are the go-to for our customers.  Building strong business relationships, they are there to support schools as a first point of contact, managing a portfolio of accounts face to face and virtually. 

You’ll focus on long-term growth, putting customer satisfaction and loyalty at the heart of everything you do. Forget the quick wins – you’ll nurture relationships and create sustainable, lasting business opportunities that grow with your clients over time.

 

Your impact will be seen in the achievement of your targets – from sales growth to customer retention, and everything in between. You’ll develop strong, meaningful relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted partner who delivers tailored solutions based on sound commercial insight.

 

 As School Relationship Specialist, you will:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Victorian and Tasmanian schools. 
  • Develop and execute annual relationship management plans tailored to our clients  
  • Deliver on-site and virtual training to educators and administrators on platform use and updates
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and issue resolution. 
  • With a continuous improvement mindset, seek feedback from schools to support product development and feature enhancements to our platform

About you

You thrive on building and maintaining deep relationships with customers, focusing on long term partnerships striving to find the best solutions for our customers. You take a proactive and consultative approach, this combined with your proven success in Sales and/or Business Development within a B2B, face-to-face sales environment, will see excel in this role. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • 5+ years’ experience in business-to-business sales and account management, ideally within office supplies and/or technology solutions business with an education or publishing focus
  • A strong understanding of identifying and meeting customer needs, whilst maximising customer satisfaction
  • Good understanding of sales principles, including pipeline management with the ability to initiate new ideas/concepts
  • Strong commercial acumen with an Analytical and inquisitive mind
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Experience using Salesforce is highly desirable
