About the role

As a Security Operations Engineer at Officeworks, you’ll play a key role in protecting our systems, data and people by supporting the planning, coordination and implementation of security controls across our technology environment. Reporting to the Security Engineering Team Leader, you’ll work closely with IT, business stakeholders, store teams and external vendors to uplift our security posture and ensure our platforms remain resilient, compliant and well‑governed.

You’ll be hands-on with day‑to‑day security operations—monitoring events, responding to incidents, and maintaining critical security tools. You’ll also contribute to the design and delivery of new security solutions, ensuring they are effective, scalable and aligned to Officeworks’ strategic objectives. This role is highly collaborative, working across multiple technology domains to embed secure practices, uplift capability and support continuous improvement.

Your work will span a broad range of technologies including endpoint protection, data loss prevention, network access control, SIEM, and cloud security. You’ll help ensure our controls are effective, our processes are mature, and our teams have the support they need to operate securely every day.

This role is a 12-month contract opportunity
