About the role

Are you an experienced category leader with industry expertise ready to take charge of a high-impact technical portfolio? This is your opportunity to shape strategy, drive innovation and deliver exceptional results in a dynamic merchandise environment.

As Senior Category Manager, you will:

• Own the category strategy for a complex technical portfolio, leveraging your deep understanding of international and local market trends.
• Lead product development and lifecycle management, bringing new ranges to life and ensuring alignment with customer needs and market demand.
• Drive commercial performance through strategic planning, delivering on sales, margin, and profitability targets across all channels.
• Influence and collaborate with key stakeholders, using your strong negotiation and communication skills to achieve strategic outcomes.
• Mentor and develop talent, coaching a Category Manager and Category Assistant to support the delivery of a compelling offer.

About you

You’re a seasoned retail category professional with:

• Extensive experience in merchandise category management and direct sourcing at national and international levels. Industry specific experience preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret complex product requirements.
• Proven success in designing and launching products using trend insights and data-driven analysis.
• Advanced commercial acumen and analytical capability, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business or Commerce (preferred).
