At Officeworks, we’ve invested in and transformed our supply chain to support growth and deliver an outstanding customer experience in the way we deliver product to our community with investments in technology and new fulfilment models.  

 

To stay competitive, adapt to changing economic conditions, and maintain our market leadership position, we’ve reviewed our operating model and structure. As part of this new operating model, the role of Supply Chain Transformation Analyst has been created to ensure collaboration with senior stakeholders to assess, scope, plan and facilitate our complex supply chain initiatives.

 

The Supply Chain Transformation Analyst will support the Supply Chain Transformation Manager in the assessment, prioritisation, scoping, planning and approval of complex supply chain transformation initiatives, including owning major business case development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across Supply Chain teams to prioritise and document transformation programs.
  • Assess opportunities, including cost Vs benefit, feasibility and implementation options.
  • Support problem-solving and root cause analysis for complex improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare presentations and recommendations for executive audiences on major investments.
  • Develop major business cases for supply chain initiatives, including strategic rationale and delivery planning.
  • Create operational capacity and throughput models for the DC and transport network.
  • Support the design and documentation of network, warehouse, and transport solutions.
  • Assist in planning and transitioning major programs from approval to delivery.
  • Provide portfolio management support, maintaining a list of productivity opportunities and inputting into budgeting and benefits tracking.

About you

With over 5 years of experience in supply chain projects or consulting roles, your expertise includes problem-solving, transformation, and optimization within supply chains, as well as developing major business cases and financial models. You excel in designing supply chain networks and solutions, conducting cross-functional process analysis, and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.

 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite plus competency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) and process mapping tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio) is desired.

 

Tertiary qualified in Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar to MBA level, you will leverage  Process Improvement (e.g., Lean Green Belt/Black Belt ) and Project Management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile).

 

Key Competencies:

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to break down and structure complex problems.
  • Ability to communicate complex problems clearly for various audiences and develop clear actions and recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across various levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Broad knowledge of end-to-end supply chain functions and activities.
  • Experience with development of major business cases from scoping through to approval.
  • Financial analysis and modelling skills, particularly focused on supply chain opportunities.
  • Sound knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean.
  • Sound knowledge of project management fundamentals.
  • Leadership skills and potential, with the ability to influence at various levels.
  • Driven, fast learner with ambition to progress within the team and/or broader business.
