About the role

We currently have an opportunity for an established and experience Area Manager to join the NSW Officeworks team. Leading a team of 14 Store Managers across the region, you will play a key role in delivering our retail strategy to our customers and team.


At Officeworks an Area Manager is responsible for driving and executing the company’s vision and strategic objectives in operational, budgetary and people performance to deliver consistent execution across a network of stores.
The Area Manager ensures that store leadership and team behaviour is aligned to Officeworks cultural imperatives.


We are looking for a leader who has a Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Area Management role within the Retail Industry, including multi-site accountability.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in sales and profit accountability, operational execution of merchandise standards and a be led by their ability to guide coach, develop and mentor the area store leadership team.

About you

  • An inspirational leader with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in multi-site accountability within the retail industry
  • Having led large teams with a strong people focus on growth and progression, you would ideally have led multi-site leaders before
  • An excellent communicator - You can confidently engage with internal and external business partners to ensure you and your team have the tools to drive genuine and measurable success
  • A strategic leader - You are financially savvy and you know how to impact EBIT through operational excellence in your direct reports
  • Always operating with integrity, attention to safety and the businesses culture at the heart of your decision making
