About the role
With the acquisition of Box of Books (BoB), one of Australia’s leading digital education and textbook providers, Officeworks is creating a market leading proposition for the Education sector. We're expanding our offer to include the likes of textbooks, eBooks, exercise books, and a growing assortment of educational resources, helping make bigger things happen for educators nationwide.
Supporting new and existing Secondary and K-12 schools across WA, with a key focus on our Box of Books (BoB) offer, our school and education specialists get to know our customers. By having insightful conversations, building strong relationships and providing exceptional service, you play a key role in enhancing schools’ access to all of the learning resources they need to support their community.
As a trusted business partner, you have the drive for identifying, acquiring, and onboarding new education business customers and building long term, profitable and mutually beneficial relationships.
As Education Account Manager, you will:
- Support your education community through engaging, managing and maintaining the end-to-end lifecycle of the customer relationship
- Provide inspiring end to end solutions for our education business customers, building strong partnerships and managing a portfolio of accounts
- Proactively guide our customers in making the right choice of products for their business across all Officeworks and BoB product range
- Thinking outside the box to provide recommendations and advice to become a trusted business advisor and provide tailored customer solutions
- Methodically plan your week to meet customer expectations, build relationship and deliver category/portfolio growth
- Develop close working relationships with school bodies, including the likes of local diocese and independent school groups, boards, principals, curriculum managers and procurement leads, always seeking opportunities to drive sustinable business growth
- Represent the Officeworks brand at trade conferences and other key events
About you
You’re a driven, client-focused professional who excels at forging strong relationships and has an unwavering passion not only achieving and exceeding targets but strives to find the best solutions for our customers. Your enthusiasm, energy, proactive mindset and consultative approach, combined with your proven success in Sales and/or Business Development within a B2B, face-to-face sales environment, will see you truly flourish in this role. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:
- 5+ years’ experience in business-to-business sales and account development, ideally within office supplies and/or technology solutions for education
- A strong understanding of identifying and meeting customer needs, whilst maximising customer satisfaction
- Good understanding of sales principles, including pipeline management with the ability to initiate new ideas/concepts
- Strong commercial acumen with an Analytical and inquisitive mind
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Experience using Salesforce is highly desirable
