About the role

We are excited to hire a new role into our Safety team structure!  The Safety & Systems Partner provides analytical services related to safety, such as injury, near miss and hazard themes at stores & CFCs within WA. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  •  investigate and analyse data gathered from a number of places, including incident reporting systems, security cameras, filed reports, and other digital information.
  • partner closely with the National Safety Manager and regional Safety Partners to provide them with reports and analytics that they can use to ensure proactive strategic initiatives with the Officeworks business.
  • govern all incidents of a notifiable or high risk nature, and provide up to date information to relevant bodies, including state based regulators.
  • engage and partner with other business functions to identify and provide analytical data that will influence decisions and create safety awareness and change to help achieve all relevant Officeworks metrics.

About you

The successful candidate will be passionate about safety and be an analytical expert who loves diving into reporting systems, spreadsheets and reports that can prpvide the Safety Manager and regional Safety Partners with knowledge to make informed decisions around safety for the business. Further you will:

  • Have strong reporting and analytical skills, and feel confident presenting data to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Be proactive in seeking solutions to problems and results orientated
  • Have the ability to question existing process with a view to recommending and implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Possess a keen eye for detail
  • Be competent in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • A qualification in OHS/ HR desired
  • Self Insurance experience would also be advantageous
