We’re launching our largest Supply Chain site in Redbank, Queensland - A major investment in scale, innovation, and the future of our retail network. This is a rare opportunity to join and help bring a large‑scale operation to life from the ground up.
Are you ready to build something legendary from the ground up? Officeworks is launching a brand-new, cutting-edge, 77,100 sqm omnichannel Distribution Centre in Redbank—roughly four times the size of the MCG!
This future-focused flagship facility is designed with both people and planet in mind, featuring incredible sustainability initiatives and modern amenities designed to support team health and wellbeing.
As our new Distribution Centre Operations Manager, you won't just run daily operations—you will have the opportunity to establish the culture, shape the workflows, and lead a large-scale team in a brand-new facility from day one. Reporting directly to the State Supply Chain Manager, you will be the driving force behind operational excellence, safety, and team-member growth.

What You’ll Do
In this flagship facility, you will oversee the high-velocity execution of all DC operations. You’ll have end-to-end accountability for Safety, People, Service, Productivity, Cost, and Inventory Management across a massive, modern footprint.
Your Key Spheres of Influence:
- The Ultimate 2IC: Act as the trusted second-in-charge, stepping up to lead the entire Distribution Centre in the absence of the State Supply Chain Manager.
- Culture Creator: Inspire, coach, and mentor a brand-new operational team, cultivating a high-performance, inclusive culture built on our leadership principles.
- Operational Architect: Drive world-class efficiency across Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Sortation, Despatch, and Inventory Control to keep stores and customers stocked.
- Safety Champion: Lead with a safety-first mindset, ensuring our team-first culture is felt in every corner of the new site.
- Continuous Innovation: Leverage data insights and a continuous improvement mindset to optimise workflows in a facility designed to evolve.
About you
What you bring
You are an experienced, energetic, and highly collaborative leader who loves a clean slate. You know how to motivate large teams, manage complex rosters under the EBA, and keep a cool head in a fast-paced environment.
Your Experience & Toolkit:
- Proven Leadership: 3+ years' management experience, with at least 2 years in a warehouse or logistics operational leadership role managing large teams.
- Operational Excellence: process optimisation, enhancing productivity, improving service levels, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading continuous improvement initiatives that deliver safe, efficient and cost-effective outcomes.
- Driver of Positive Change: Experience with change management, continuous improvement, and a passion for developing future leaders.
- Qualifications: A Certificate in Supply Chain/Logistics and a Certificate in WH&S are essential. A Diploma in Leadership & Management is highly regarded.
- Capabilities: Strong commercial acumen, exceptional stakeholder engagement, and the capability to effectively manage workforce planning and agency labour.
