Title:  P&C Business Development Lead

Location:

Chadstone, Victoria, AU

About us

At Officeworks we make bigger things happen. Our customers, our team, and our community are our heart and soul. And if our brilliant people have taught us anything, it is that we can do all kinds of incredible things, each and every day.

Fast paced. Innovative. Inspiring. With close to 10,000 team members and a national footprint of more than 173 retail stores Australia wide – we’re focused on delivering a wide range, low price and great service. We’re about inspiring new ideas and thinking outside the box. We’re about kicking goals, having a laugh and pushing each other. We are about being rewarded and supported. We’re about teaching a customer something new and supporting the community. We’re about making a difference.

About the role

At Officeworks, we’re focused on growing our Print & Create category through new products, stronger partnerships, and better customer experiences. We’re looking for a commercially driven Business Development Lead to help identify and deliver these growth opportunities.

This is not a technical or IT project role it’s a business-facing role focused on commercial growth, partnerships, and customer outcomes across retail and online channels.

As Business Development Lead, you’ll be responsible for identifying, shaping, and delivering initiatives that drive sales and margin growth within Print & Create.

You’ll work across category, stores, eCommerce, marketing, and external partners to bring new ideas to life and enhance the end-to-end customer experience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Identify and develop new growth opportunities across products, services, and customer experiences
  • Build robust business cases to support investment decisions
  • Lead the rollout of new offers across stores and online channels
  • Establish and manage external partnerships to bring new capabilities to market
  • Collaborate with internal teams (category, operations, eCommerce, marketing) to execute initiatives
  • Analyse performance data, run reports, and generate insights to inform decision-making
  • Improve the customer journey to increase conversion, cross-sell, and customer satisfaction (NPS)
  • Track performance and optimise initiatives to maximise sales and margin outcomes

About you

We’re looking for a strong commercial thinker and relationship builder, not a technical project manager.

You’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in business development, category management, commercial strategy, or growth roles
  • Proven ability to deliver sales and margin growth through new initiatives, partnerships, or customer improvements
  • Strong analytical capability, including experience working with data, running reports, and translating insights into actions
  • Confidence making data-led decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in retail, services, eCommerce, or B2B environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to deliver business outcomes
  • A hands-on approach, comfortable moving from idea through to execution

Nice to have

  • Experience in Print, Photo, or service-based retail categories
  • Exposure to omnichannel retail environments

If you’re passionate about driving business growth, building partnerships, and improving customer experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
